Five National Assembly Members Unite in Support
Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 27th that five local National Assembly members have come together across party lines to participate in a citywide campaign urging the inclusion of the 'Dongdaegu-Changwon High-Speed Railway' in the national railway network, demonstrating a strong commitment to making the project a reality.

This campaign was organized to widely promote the significance of transportation innovation and balanced regional development that citizens can experience through the realization of 'Seoul-Changwon in 2 hours and 20 minutes.' Five National Assembly members-Kim Jongyang (Uichang District), Heo Sungmu (Seongsan District), Choi Hyungdu (Masan Happo District), Yoon Hanhong (Masan Hoewon District), and Lee Jonguk (Jinhae District)-have united in support of the initiative.
The lawmakers stated, "The Dongdaegu-Changwon High-Speed Railway is a key national project that will connect the future growth axis of Changwon, and it is a task that must be accomplished with the collective effort of all citizens." They added, "We will actively cooperate at the National Assembly level to ensure that it is swiftly included in the national railway network plan."
Following this campaign with National Assembly members, Changwon Special City plans to continue the campaign in succession, involving key figures from various sectors, including heads of institutions, organization leaders, and businesspeople.
Through these efforts, the city aims to broaden public consensus and raise expectations and determination throughout the local community for the advent of the 'Seoul-Changwon in 2 hours and 20 minutes era.'
