Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment (CEO Kim Suhoon, hereafter referred to as SAMG Entertainment) will bring back its popular animation series "Catch! Teenieping" with a new season this October. The sixth season, "Princess Catch! Teenieping," will premiere at 6:00 p.m. on October 30 through the YouTube TeeniepingTV "Teenieping Show."
"Princess Catch! Teenieping" is the latest installment in the "Catch! Teenieping" series, which has enjoyed consistent popularity since its first broadcast in 2020. This season maintains the series' signature lively and adorable atmosphere, while introducing new Teeniepings from the princess universe to fans. In this season, Princess Teeniepings make their debut, and a mysterious mirror of the Legendary Teenieping appears before Princess Romi of the Emotion Kingdom, delivering a fantastic adventure as Royal Teeniepings and Princess Teeniepings are caught.
The previous Season 3, "Mysterious Catch! Teenieping," and Season 4, "Sweet and Sour Catch! Teenieping," recorded peak viewership ratings of 18.5% and 26%, respectively. Season 5, "Shooting Star Catch! Teenieping," successfully expanded its core audience from children aged 4 to 7 to include fans aged 10 and above, capturing a broader viewer base. Currently, the YouTube TeeniepingTV channel has a total of 1.75 million subscribers, and over 180 pieces of content from the previous Season 5 have surpassed 800 million cumulative views, averaging 4 million views per video.
This month, SAMG Entertainment released teasers and opening videos through the official "Catch! Teenieping" YouTube channel, heightening anticipation. Related videos have surpassed a total of 1.99 million views on YouTube and Instagram, demonstrating significant interest. In particular, Liz, a member of the fourth-generation K-pop group IVE, participated in the OST and music video, raising expectations not only among children but also Millennials & Gen Z and K-pop fans.
Meanwhile, "Catch! Teenieping" is the original animation behind last year's film "Hachuping of Love," which attracted 1.24 million viewers. The first episode of "Princess Catch! Teenieping" will be released live on YouTube TeeniepingTV on October 30, and will air its television premiere on JEI TV at 7:00 p.m. on November 5.
