Jeonnam Sports for All Festival Opens in Yeonggwang on the 25th

Tens of thousands of hidden sports masters from everyday life have gathered in Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do.
On October 25, Jeollanam-do announced that the opening ceremony of the 37th Jeollanam-do Sports for All Festival was held at Yeonggwang Public Stadium.
The opening ceremony, held under the theme "Unite! The Power of Jeonnam, the Light of a Millennium in Yeonggwang," was attended by Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeollanam-do; Kim Taegyun, Chairman of the Jeollanam-do Provincial Council; Jang Seil, Mayor of Yeonggwang County; Song Jin-ho, President of the Jeollanam-do Sports Council; National Assembly members Lee Gaeho, Shin Jeonghun, Joo Cheolhyeon, and Moon Geumju; mayors, county governors, provincial council members, and more than 7,000 participants including athletes and delegations.
This event, running until October 27, features 21,000 sports enthusiasts competing in 24 disciplines, including soccer, archery, baseball, and tennis, ensuring fair competition across all categories.
Governor Kim Youngrok stated, "Athletes from Jeonnam have raised the region's profile by performing well at the recent Paris Olympics and this year's Winter Sports Festival. The progress and achievements in elite sports have been made possible by the dedication of everyday sports participants. We will continue to expand sports facilities so that residents can enjoy sports in their daily lives."
This year, Jeollanam-do has allocated 121.1 billion won to expand sports facilities and has deployed 261 sports instructors to operate and support various community sports programs. In addition, the province is striving to enhance residents' well-being through sports by offering sports class vouchers, supporting exciting weekend sports programs, opening school sports facilities, and operating nationally certified fitness certification centers and sports clubs.
