Discussing the Preservation and Utilization of National Heritage in the Digital Transformation Era
Korea National University of Cultural Heritage will hold the "National Heritage Content Symposium" at 1:30 p.m. on the 29th at the National Palace Museum of Korea in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Under the theme "Heritage Connect 2025 - Bridging Policy and Industry through the Digital Transformation of National Heritage," the symposium will discuss ways to utilize digital technology with the National Heritage Administration, Korea Culture Information Service Agency, and experts from academia and industry.
The first session will address "Digital Archives and Utilization." Professor Yoo Jungmin of Korea National University of Cultural Heritage will deliver a keynote speech on "The Flow of Digital Transformation and the Role of the Content Development Center," followed by Kim Yonghee, Director at the National Heritage Administration, and Kim Beomhwan, Director at the Korea Culture Information Service Agency, who will introduce policy and technology strategies.
The second session will focus on "Content Utilization and Talent Development." Professor Park Jin-ho of Korea University will present cases of mixed reality (MR) and extended reality (XR) tour buses, while Kim Siro, CEO of WIFCO, and Seo Geumtaek, CEO of DWM Consulting, will discuss 3D asset production and talent development strategies. This will be followed by a comprehensive discussion moderated by Yoo Jungmin, Director of the Content Development Center.
Korea National University of Cultural Heritage stated, "We aim to propose content utilization models for national heritage that are suited to the digital era and to establish a sustainable foundation for preservation and utilization."
