Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon responded to Jeong Cheong-rae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "While housing prices are on fire, is there really a need to idly replay and focus on 'low-quality political audit' videos?" This was a rebuttal to Jeong's remark the previous day, "Oh Se-hoon is finished," after Oh and Myung Tae-gyun, a figure known as a political broker, faced each other at the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee's audit of the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

On the 24th, Mayor Oh posted on his social media, "What Representative Jeong Cheong-rae should be doing right now is defusing the 'real estate bomb' that has been dropped on the public." Visiting the Sangye 5 Redevelopment Promotion Zone in Nowon that day, Mayor Oh pointed out that, due to the unprecedented 10·15 regulation that designates all of Seoul as a land transaction permit zone, people are blocked from moving because they cannot get loans.

Mayor Oh stated, "The Seoul Metropolitan Government has been squeezing every effort to accelerate reconstruction and redevelopment, but a single regulatory bomb from the government now threatens to stall the engine." He added, "Nevertheless, the ruling Democratic Party has remained silent on how it intends to resolve this real estate bomb."

He continued, "While housing prices are burning, do you really have the luxury to idly replay videos of the Public Administration and Security Committee's 'low-quality political audit' and focus on attacking Oh Se-hoon? The public is now spending chaotic times amid the shrapnel of the real estate bomb." He also mentioned, "The truth about the fraud suspect Myung Tae-gyun will be revealed through investigation," urging Representative Jeong to focus on defusing the real estate bomb.

Earlier, Representative Jeong stated at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the same day, "Yesterday's highlight was the encounter between Mayor Oh Se-hoon and witness Myung Tae-gyun," and declared, "Oh Se-hoon, the Mayor of Seoul, is finished."

He continued, "Witness Myung Tae-gyun was confident, while Mayor Oh Se-hoon avoided most questions, citing the cross-examination by the special prosecutor scheduled for November 8. Even I found it pitiful and petty," adding, "For Mayor Oh Se-hoon, it must have been the greatest crisis and most humiliating day of his life."

He further commented, "I even thought it would be difficult for him to guarantee not only his next term as Seoul Mayor but also his future social life. I hope he overcomes this well."
