Wonsi City and Umi Construction Sign Agreement on Local Company Participation in Apartment Construction Projects
68.4 Billion Won Allocated
Over 30% of Construction Costs to Boost Local Economy
On October 24, Wonsi City in Gangwon Province and Umi Construction Co., Ltd. signed an "Agreement on Local Company Participation in Apartment Construction Projects" at the Investment Consultation Room on the 7th floor of City Hall.

Through this agreement, Umi Construction, the contractor for the "Wonsu Station Umi Lin The Stella Apartment," has committed to subcontracting more than 30% of the construction costs to local construction companies.
As a result, out of the total construction cost of 221.7 billion won for the apartment project, 68.4 billion won will be allocated to local contractors, workforce, materials, and equipment, which is expected to contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
Meanwhile, since 2014, Wonsi City has signed a total of 52 agreements for local company participation in apartment construction projects, with a cumulative amount of 2.0194 trillion won.
Wonkangsu, Mayor of Wonsi City, stated, "I hope you will make every effort to ensure that as much of the construction cost as possible is spent locally, along with safe construction."
