"Looking Forward to Next Month's Special Prosecutor Cross-Examination"
Park Jiwon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Haenam, Wando, and Jindo, strongly criticized Seoul Mayor Oh Sehoon on his social networking service (SNS) account on the 24th, writing, "Myung Taegyun was always right, and Mayor Oh Sehoon always lies."
Referring to the remarks made by Mr. Myung, who testified as a witness at the Seoul Metropolitan Government audit on the 23rd, Assemblyman Park said, "He revealed at the audit that he cried, was harshly criticized as a betrayer, and that Mayor Oh proposed giving him an apartment."

He added, "Mayor Oh denies it as a lie, but while Mr. Myung may have exaggerated his statements, he has never lied about facts that did not exist," expressing his support for Mr. Myung. Assemblyman Park also mentioned the special prosecutor's cross-examination scheduled for November 8 between Mr. Myung and Mayor Oh, saying, "I am looking forward to the cross-examination."
He then targeted Mayor Oh's city administration, stating, "From the ever-taller flagpoles in Gwanghwamun Square, the controversy over the Tohuhje, to the Han River cruise disguised as public transportation, every project has ended in failure," and added, "It seems his luck has run out." Assemblyman Park further commented, "Jeong Cheongrae, the party leader, said, 'Oh Sehoon's time is over,' and I clicked 'like' as well."
Meanwhile, Mr. Myung Taegyun is known for assisting Mayor Oh's camp by providing unpublished poll results ahead of the 2021 Seoul mayoral by-election. At the Seoul Metropolitan Government audit on the 23rd, Mr. Myung strongly refuted Mayor Oh's explanation, asking, "Who are you calling a liar?"
At that time, Mr. Myung stated, "I met with Mayor Oh a total of seven times. For six of those meetings, excluding the Cheonggukjang restaurant, former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Youngsun was also present. It was also former lawmaker Kim who arranged the meetings."
He further claimed, "On January 22, 2021, while passing through the Jangbok Tunnel, Mayor Oh called me in tears, saying, 'There are polls showing Na Kyungwon winning, but I need a poll showing me beating Na Kyungwon.'" Mr. Myung also asserted that Mayor Oh promised to give him an apartment in return for helping him get elected as Seoul mayor.
