On that day, Mayor Park personally served lunch to over 80 elderly residents at the facility, offering them warm words of comfort and encouragement. He also spoke with facility staff to listen to operational challenges and checked on the living environment and health management of the residents.
Mayor Hyungduk Park stated, "Even a small act of sharing can become a great source of strength when we come together," adding, "The city will continue to provide ongoing attention and support so that mental care facilities and other local care centers can become warmer and safer spaces."
Meanwhile, Dongducheon Nursing Home is a mental care facility that protects and provides treatment and care services for people with chronic mental disorders. Through medication and rehabilitation programs, the facility supports mental rehabilitation, improved quality of life, and social reintegration.
