Busan Office of Education to Hold 'Galmaetgil Ecological Playground' for Young Children

Collaboration Between Kindergartens and Daycare Centers
Experiencing Busan's Nature and Culture

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will hold the 'Galmaetgil Ecological Playground' event at 10 a.m. on the 27th at the plaza of the Busan Student Education and Culture Center. Over 300 young children and parents from institutions such as Geoseong Kindergarten, Keunbit Daycare Center, and Hanareum Daycare Center will participate in the event.

The 'Galmaetgil Ecological Playground' is organized by Hanareum Daycare Center, a leading institution for early childhood education, and centers on Galmaetgil, which represents Busan's nature and culture. The event aims to foster children's ecological sensitivity through play and learning in nature and to establish a model of collaboration between kindergartens and daycare centers as an educational community.

At the event venue, experience booths will be operated according to the developmental stages of young children, with separate sections for infants and toddlers. Various programs are prepared, including making eco-bags, building Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, a frog food search game, and playing with soil. Through these activities, children will be able to understand the natural features and cultural heritage of Galmaetgil, as well as develop creativity and problem-solving skills.

Additionally, at the free experience booths, programs such as calligraphy postcard making and family photo sessions will be offered, allowing families to enjoy special memories together.

Kim Seokjun, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "By experiencing Busan's culture and natural heritage, this will be a meaningful opportunity for children to feel pride as citizens and learn how to live in harmony with nature. We will continue to create diverse opportunities so that kindergartens and daycare centers can collaborate and prepare for the era of integrated early childhood education."
