Jangseong County in South Jeolla Province announced on October 24 that the Hwangmir Land Children's Eco-Friendly Theme Park has received the Excellence Award in the pre-installed category at the 10th Jeollanam-do Eco-Friendly Design Competition.
Jangseong County achieved high scores across all major evaluation criteria, including eco-friendliness, harmony, creativity, and practicality. The park's practical layout, which enhances accessibility and convenience, as well as its creative design that harmonizes with the surrounding environment, were particularly well received.
Located on the sandbar of the Hwangryong River, the Hwangmir Land Children's Eco-Friendly Theme Park (hereafter referred to as Hwangmir Land Theme Park) features a water play facility where children can play safely, along with a "yellow earth barefoot walking trail" designed to promote health and well-being.
The park stands out for its play facilities made from environmentally friendly materials and landscaping that highlights the beauty of the natural scenery. Even during the Jangseong Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival, which began on October 18, the park has continued to attract steady visits from families.
Kim Hanjong, Governor of Jangseong County, stated, "I hope that the Hwangmir Land Children's Eco-Friendly Theme Park, which has received excellent external evaluations, will become a beloved local attraction for everyone, from children to seniors."
