Product Discounts and SNS Events Held in Celebration of Dokdo Day
Monami announced on the 24th that, in celebration of Dokdo Day on the 25th, it will donate 3% of the sales proceeds from its '153 Dokdo' product to the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters, while also offering product discounts and hosting social networking service (SNS) events.
In 2021, Monami launched the '153 Dokdo' Special Edition to commemorate Dokdo Day, delivering a message encouraging the public to reflect on the significance of Dokdo and to protect its value together. Since then, the company has consistently donated 3% of the product's sales proceeds to the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters for five consecutive years. These donations are used to support activities for the protection of Dokdo and the Dokdo Love platform project. Additionally, Monami continues to participate in the activities of the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters by sponsoring the '153 Dokdo' product for Dokdo Day fundraising events, thereby practicing social contribution.
The '153 Dokdo' features an emerald-colored body reminiscent of Dokdo and the East Sea, accented with deep blue-toned metal trims and a clicker. The package includes a premium 153 ballpoint pen fitted with a 0.7mm black FX 4000 refill, an additional 1.0mm refill, a Dokdo badge, tracing paper, and a paper box. Currently, the '153 Dokdo' can be purchased at a 20% discount through Monami's Naver Brand Store. With each purchase, customers receive a complimentary TinyTAN lip balm and free engraving service.
Monami's official SNS channels are also hosting a comment event. Until the 26th, those who leave a comment on Monami's Instagram post related to Dokdo Day will be entered into a drawing to receive the '153 Dokdo' product as a gift. In addition, Monami plans to release a variety of YouTube content to commemorate Dokdo Day in collaboration with the Monami Pen Club, the brand's official supporters.
