Tanaka Regains "Goodnight, Miss" Song Rights from China... Why Does Unease Remain? Comedian Kim Kyungwook announced that the original song related to the unauthorized use of the track "Goodnight, Miss" has been properly re-registered. YouTube "Namo-la Family Hot Show"

Kim Kyungwook, who is currently active as his alter ego "Tanaka," uploaded a video titled "Statement on the Unauthorized Use of the Song 'Goodnight, Miss'" to the YouTube channel "Namo-la Family Hot Show" on October 22, stating, "Fortunately, the issue has now been resolved and everything has returned to normal."

Recently, Kim Kyungwook claimed that the Chinese company had plagiarized the song "Goodnight, Miss" by the project group ASMRZ and expressed his distress over the situation. According to Kim, the Chinese music company rearranged the song without permission and registered it as new content on Meta platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, resulting in the forced transfer of the original song's ownership.

Kim explained, "Thanks to reports from fans, I discovered that a rearranged version of 'Goodnight, Miss,' a song created by Tanaka, influencer Nitmolcash, and Guana, was registered as if it were the original. The Chinese company extracted only the voices of Tanaka and Nitmolcash from the original track and created a new song with different instruments and vocals, then registered it. I am not sure how the rearranged version was registered as the original, but I contacted the music distributor and asked them to address the situation."

However, the unauthorized rearranged song titled "晩安大小姐" (Wan'an Daxiaojie) is still registered on Instagram. As a result, searching for "Goodnight, Miss" continues to display both versions, causing ongoing confusion. Kim Kyungwook added, "There is still concern that 'Wan'an Daxiaojie' could once again be registered as the original version."

Additionally, Kim Kyungwook emphasized that cases of unauthorized use of Korean music continue to occur and that the system for protecting copyright must be improved. He stated, "The same issues keep arising," and added, "I hope that in the future, artists will not lose their copyrights."

The song "Goodnight, Miss," released in February, was co-composed by Kim Kyungwook and Nitmolcash, and gained popularity through its use in short-form challenges and similar content.
