The "2025 Traveling Science Museum" program, promoted by Sinan County in collaboration with the National Gwangju Science Museum Supporters Association, was successfully concluded with enthusiastic responses from elementary school students in the island regions.
This program was organized to provide diverse science experience opportunities to students in island areas who have limited access to science museums. From October 13 to 20, more than 100 students from Ap-hae Elementary School, Jeungdo Elementary School, and Jaeun Elementary School participated.
Using the National Gwangju Science Museum's mobile science vehicle "Luchelium," a variety of engaging activities were offered, including science exhibit explanations, robot dance performances, solar astronomy observation, making fluorescent memo boards, and the "Dinosaur Volcano Island Escape" program. Through these activities, students in the island regions enjoyed meaningful time learning science in an easy and fun way, fostering their curiosity and spirit of inquiry.
Kim Daein, Acting Governor of Sinan County, stated, "I hope the Traveling Science Museum has allowed students to experience the joy of new learning," and added, "We will continue to work with the National Gwangju Science Museum to further expand opportunities for local children to enjoy science and culture."
