At around 8:27 a.m. on October 23, a drilling machine overturned and fell into a stream about 4 meters deep while working on a drainage construction project at Changnyeongcheon in Yeo-eo-myeon, Changnyeong County, South Gyeongsang Province.
As a result of the accident, a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, was trapped under the drilling machine and died at the scene.
The drilling machine, which is a construction vehicle used to bore into the ground with a massive pile and drill, was found to be about 20 tons in size.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident and whether there was any negligence, questioning people involved at the site.
