Born in 1994 in the United States, Ponce served as the Hanwha Eagles' top starting pitcher for the 2025 season, breaking various KBO records. He set the record for most strikeouts in a single regular-inning game (18 strikeouts), the longest opening winning streak as a starting pitcher in league history (17 consecutive wins), and the most strikeouts in a single season (252 strikeouts). He has met all the standards set by Choi Dong-won as an ace, and was unanimously selected by the judging committee as the winner of the 12th BNK Busan Bank Choi Dong-won Award." The 12th BNK Busan Bank Choi Dong-won Award ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on November 11 at the Ocean Hall on the second floor of the Busan Bank headquarters. The winner will receive a trophy modeled after Choi Dong-won's pitching form and a prize of 20 million won.

Good People (Chairman: Lee Yonggi) announced on the 23rd that it has provided emergency relief supplies worth $20,000 (approximately 28 million won) to northern Vietnam, which has been suffering from consecutive typhoons.

On October 20, Good People delivered essential items such as cooking oil, salt, mosquito nets, blankets, soap, and toothpaste to 500 households affected by typhoons in Linh Son commune, Thai Nguyen province, located 90 km north of the capital Hanoi. Thai Nguyen province was the hardest-hit area in this disaster.

Lee Yonggi, Chairman of Good People, stated, "Good People prepared this emergency relief to help those who lost their livelihoods due to typhoons and heavy rains. We will continue to stand by neighbors facing hardships from natural disasters and help them not to lose hope."
