Signaling a Transformation in Buyeo's Industrial Landscape
The next-generation hub of the electric vehicle industry will be established in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province.
Seers Co., Ltd. is investing 50 billion won to build a "Smart Eco Cluster" within the Buyeo General Industrial Complex, launching a production base that combines core electric vehicle components with eco-friendly smart manufacturing processes.
On October 23, Buyeo County in South Chungcheong Province announced that Seers, a company specializing in advanced electric vehicle parts and eco-friendly process technology, unveiled its investment plan to expand electric vehicle production processes by 50 billion won at the "Buyeo General Industrial Complex Sales and Investment Briefing" held on October 22.
The briefing was held at the Seodong Briefing Room of Buyeo County Office, attended by Deputy County Governor Hong Euna and related public officials from the county, as well as Vice Chairman Hong Wonkyung and 18 executives from Seers.
The event included a briefing on the current status of the industrial complex, locational advantages, key infrastructure, and investment support systems.
Additionally, promotional videos from both the county and Seers were shown to deepen mutual understanding.
Through this investment, Seers plans to establish a "Smart Eco Cluster" in the Buyeo General Industrial Complex by integrating production processes for core electric vehicle components with eco-friendly smart manufacturing facilities, aiming to foster it as a leading base in the future automotive industry ecosystem.
Vice Chairman Hong stated, "Buyeo is the transportation hub of southern Chungnam, offering excellent logistics accessibility and a stable industrial foundation," adding, "We will strengthen our corporate competitiveness by building a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership with Buyeo County."
In the afternoon, a site inspection of the industrial complex was conducted, during which Seers executives held detailed discussions with county officials regarding land utilization plans, infrastructure, access roads, and other practical matters.
County Governor Park Junghyun commented, "Seers' investment will inject new vitality into Buyeo's industrial economy," and added, "We hope the establishment of the Smart Eco Cluster will serve as a catalyst for local job creation and a turning point for the future mobility industry."
This investment plan by Seers is a key example of Buyeo County's ongoing "Investment Promotion Activation Strategy" and is expected to signal the rise of the Buyeo General Industrial Complex as a central hub for future industries in southern Chungnam.
