BoF, a Key Indicator of Influence in the Fashion Industry
Prestigious List of Influential Figures Since 2013
Leading the Global Expansion of K-Fashion and Proving Global Leadership
Musinsa announced on October 23 that CEO Cho Manho has been named to "The BoF 500 2025," a list released by the UK-based fashion media outlet The Business of Fashion (BoF).
The BoF 500 is a prestigious list that has selected influential figures in the global fashion industry every year since 2013, based on criteria such as leadership, creativity, innovation, social impact, and achievement. It is regarded as a key indicator of influence within the global fashion industry.
BoF described Cho Manho, CEO of Musinsa, as "an innovative leader who has spearheaded the global spread of K-fashion by leveraging Korea's cultural strength, and who has built a new fashion business model by combining technology and community." Excluding K-pop idols, Cho Manho is the only fashion platform executive to be included on this year's list.
Musinsa began in 2001 as a sneaker community founded by Cho Manho and has since grown into Korea's leading fashion platform, driven by mutual growth with K-fashion brands. Since 2022, Musinsa has launched its global store, introducing around 3,000 Korean designer brands in 13 regions worldwide and leading the globalization of K-fashion.
A Musinsa representative stated, "Being selected for The BoF 500 is a meaningful achievement that officially recognizes not only Musinsa but also K-fashion as a competitive force in the global market, as a key pillar of K-culture. Musinsa will continue to create a sustainable growth structure for the Korean fashion industry through a business model that organically connects the discovery, growth, and global expansion of emerging K-fashion brands."
Since its launch in 2013, the BoF 500 has regularly added new figures each year, and currently, 1,613 individuals from 96 countries are listed.
