Twice-Weekly Charter Flights Between Busan and Guilin Starting October 29
Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungsub) will begin operating charter flights on the Busan-Guilin route, a major tourist destination in southern China.
After nine years, the air route from Gimhae Airport to Guilin will reopen.
Air Busan announced on the 23rd that it will operate charter flights between Busan and Guilin twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) from October 29 to December 20.
The flight schedule departs from Gimhae International Airport at 10:00 p.m., arriving in Guilin at 12:50 a.m. local time the next day. The return flight departs Guilin at 2:00 a.m. and arrives at Gimhae Airport at 6:45 a.m.
Guilin, located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China, is a natural tourist attraction known for its abundance of sweet osmanthus trees, which is why it is called "Gyerim" in Korea. Guilin is renowned for its breathtaking natural scenery, often described as "the best under heaven," and offers a variety of attractions such as the Li River, dramatic peaks, and Reed Flute Cave.
November and December are considered the best time to visit, thanks to clear and pleasant weather. Flights on this route from Gimhae Airport had been suspended since October 2016, but with Air Busan's charter service, the route is being resumed after more than nine years.
An Air Busan representative stated, "Since the implementation of China's visa-free entry policy for Korean visitors, demand for travel to China has increased significantly. With these charter flights, customers will be able to conveniently enjoy the beautiful nature of Guilin."
Tickets for the Guilin charter flights can be booked through Air Busan's designated travel agencies. These agencies include Modetour, Tourphone, The Tour, Hanatour, Ytour & Golf, and Yellow Balloon. For more detailed reservation information, please visit each travel agency's website.
