The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office announced on the 22nd that it has selected Damyang Subuk Nanum Internal Medicine Clinic as an excellent veterans consigned hospital for the third term this year.
The Excellent Veterans Consigned Hospital Certification Program has been operated by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs since 2021 to improve the quality of medical services and user satisfaction. In 2025, 30 hospitals and clinics nationwide will be selected to receive certificates.
Veterans consigned hospitals are designated in each city and county to provide convenient medical services for national merit recipients in remote areas without veterans hospitals. Currently, 618 hospitals and clinics across the country are designated and operating as such.
Kim Seokki, head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office, said, "I am grateful to the medical staff and hospital officials for repaying the dedication and contributions of national merit recipients with their attentive medical services."
Director Son Junkwang stated, "We simply treated our patients like family, and this led to such a good result," adding, "We will continue to honor national merit recipients with even better medical care."
