With the sudden drop in temperature, Mayor Lee began the meeting by urging, "At each neighborhood office, please pay close attention to the well-being and health of vulnerable groups, such as low-income residents and elderly people living alone, to ensure they do not suffer from the cold."

First, Mayor Lee said, "Ilsandong District, where major city landmarks such as Ilsan Lake Park and Culture Square are located, is the area that attracts the most citizens and visitors. Despite the many festivals and events held this autumn, thanks to the dedication of staff members working quietly on-site for the citizens, these events were able to conclude successfully," expressing his appreciation for their efforts.

He continued, "For two consecutive years, KINTEX has achieved the highest S grade in the local public enterprise management evaluation, and tomorrow (the 23rd), the groundbreaking ceremony for KINTEX Exhibition Hall 3 will be held. Starting with the ceremony, full-scale construction will begin in December, and once the third exhibition hall is completed, KINTEX will have a total area of 170,000 square meters, making it capable of hosting global mega-events such as CES, IFA, and MWC."

He also stated, "Once the ongoing infrastructure projects, including the anchor hotel and multi-purpose parking building, are completed, Goyang will become a leading city in the global MICE industry," and requested active support from relevant departments to ensure the smooth progress of the Exhibition Hall 3 construction and infrastructure expansion projects.

Mayor Lee also shared the news that Goyang was promoted from a "managed area" to a "leading area" after receiving excellent results in the Ministry of Education's recent "Educational Development Special Zone Pilot Area Performance Management" evaluation, saying, "This achievement demonstrates the tangible results of our regionally tailored support policies and future talent development programs."

Additionally, Mayor Lee emphasized, "By providing specialized education unique to Goyang, please help create a virtuous local ecosystem where outstanding talent can learn, find employment, and settle in Goyang."

Afterward, Mayor Lee received reports on key issues and suggestions closely related to citizens' daily lives in Ilsandong District, including environmental improvements around Lafesta, the construction and reconstruction of the Jangjin 2nd Bridge bypass road, winter snow removal measures, a proposal to install CCTV on the lower auxiliary road of Jayuro, measures for retaining wall erosion, and the status of areas in Gobong-dong that are prone to frequent flooding.

Finally, Mayor Lee stated, "Community leaders and functional organizations are practical partners who understand not only the region's problems and solutions but also the administrative environment, serving as a bridge between the city and its citizens. Please continue to communicate closely, listen carefully to residents' opinions and requests, and strive for the development of the local community."
