"Takaichi's Leadership Will Bring New Vitality"
Choi Taewon, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, urged Japan's new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to revitalize economic cooperation between South Korea and Japan and officially invited her to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit.
According to the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 22nd, Chairman Choi sent a letter stating, "I am confident that Prime Minister Takaichi's leadership will bring new vitality to Japan and lead to meaningful progress with neighboring countries and throughout the region," offering his congratulations. Prime Minister Takaichi was elected as Japan's 104th Prime Minister in the parliamentary election held the previous day.

Chairman Choi emphasized the importance of cooperation between South Korea and Japan, which share similar positions amid trade uncertainties. He noted, "In the rapidly changing global trade environment, South Korea and Japan face common challenges," and added, "If both countries work together as reliable partners to overcome these challenges, we can create significant synergy."
He also officially invited Prime Minister Takaichi to the APEC CEO Summit scheduled for the end of this month. Chairman Choi stated, "This year marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Japan, and there are high expectations in both business communities for expanded cooperation," adding, "I hope the Japanese government will further strengthen this trend and open a future of joint prosperity through even closer collaboration."
Park Iljun, Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commented, "The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to hold the APEC CEO Summit, a business event, starting on the 28th in conjunction with this year's APEC Summit," and added, "If Prime Minister Takaichi attends the APEC CEO Summit, it will be a meaningful opportunity to demonstrate Japan's commitment to regional economic cooperation."
