Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown Kicks Off
Korea Seeks to Reclaim Title After Seven Years
"We Have the Home Advantage. Japan Is the Team to Watch"
Korean players have pledged to deliver news of their victory to domestic fans.
The Korean national team, consisting of Kim Hyoju, Ko Jinyoung, Choi Hyejin, and Yoo Hyeran, will compete in the 5th Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown, a women's golf international team event, held from October 23 to 26 at New Korea Country Club (par 72, 6,542 yards) in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Since the tournament's inception in 2014, Korea will be aiming for the championship for the first time in seven years, following their last victory at the third edition of the event held in Incheon in 2018.

At the official press conference on October 22, Kim Hyoju said, "Since the tournament is being held in Korea, more people will come to support us. We have the home advantage, and the team atmosphere is great, so once the event begins, we will give it our all." Kim Hyoju has won the Ladies European Tour (LET) event held on this course for two consecutive years.
Ko Jinyoung said with a smile, "This morning, I noticed that Hyoju and I needed more sleep, but the younger players Yoo Hyeran and Choi Hyejin were already out on the course early. If those two just play their own games from tomorrow, and I do my part, everything will be fine." She added, "Last week, I was personally very happy to see Kim Seyoung win the LPGA Tour event in the United States. She is now a veteran among Korean players on the LPGA Tour, and I believe that when she performs well, it inspires the younger players to do even better."
Choi Hyejin and Yoo Hyeran identified Japan as the team to beat in this tournament. Choi Hyejin explained, "There are many courses in Japan similar to those in Korea, so Japanese players are likely to be comfortable with the greens. Also, the Japanese players have been in good form recently." Yoo Hyeran also pointed out, "The grass type here is common in Japan, and the greens are undulating, so Japanese players who putt well will have an advantage in this tournament."
