The newly designated alley-type shopping districts are Baedari Reservoir, Pyeongtaek Baemi District, and Songtan Tourist Special Zone. A total of 413 stores are currently operating within these three alley-type shopping districts.

With this designation, the total number of alley-type shopping districts and shopping districts designated by Pyeongtaek City has increased to eight. Once designated as an alley-type shopping district, the area becomes eligible to participate in government support programs similar to those for traditional markets and can receive various benefits, including registration as an Onnuri Gift Certificate affiliate.

The locations of the newly designated alley-type shopping districts are as follows: the area around 47 Bijeon 4-ro for "Baedari Reservoir," the area around Pyeongtaek 5-ro 20beon-gil for "Pyeongtaek Baemi District," and the area around Teukgu-ro 43beon-gil for "Songtan Tourist Special Zone."

Jung Jang-sun, mayor of Pyeongtaek, said, "I hope that the designation of these alley-type shopping districts will serve as an important turning point in strengthening the competitiveness of local commercial districts."
