Naver Cloud Officially Launches Business Messenger "Line Works" in Taiwan

Plans for Future Expansion into the Southeast Asian Market

Naver Cloud announced on the 22nd that it will launch the Taiwan service for "Line Works" (the Korean service name is Naver Works). This marks the second global expansion for Line Works after Japan, and Naver Cloud plans to target further expansion into the Southeast Asian market in the future.

Launched in Japan in 2016, Line Works has held the top market share in Japan's paid business messenger market for eight consecutive years since 2017. Its success can be attributed to its all-in-one app design, which allows field workers, such as sales and store staff, to conveniently use it in a mobile environment, tailored to Japan's industry structure with a large number of employees working outside the office.

Line Works is the only collaboration tool that can be integrated with the mobile messenger Line. In the Taiwan market, it aims to provide a solution that integrates internal and external company communication and enhances work efficiency. With a robust security system, it enables safe collaboration with external users of Line and Line Works, and also offers enterprise-customized features such as file and group management.

Localization for Taiwan has also been completed. The user environment has been optimized through a design that reflects Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, support for payments in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD), and customer support and content creation in Traditional Chinese.

Naver Cloud explained that Taiwan is a market where software-as-a-service (SaaS) for remote work and collaboration is on the rise, and message-based work is highly active. Many companies use free personal messengers for business purposes, which is increasing the need to adopt paid collaboration tools to ensure corporate data security and maintain work continuity.

Kim Youwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, said, "Taiwan shares similar industrial characteristics with Japan and is a market with high growth potential, making it the optimal environment to expand our existing successful model. Under the direction of providing technology that innovates the workplace, we will continue to advance various collaboration tool features and strive to establish ourselves as a work tool that drives tangible improvements in the work environment in Taiwan and Southeast Asia."
