On Wednesday, the 22nd, temperatures are expected to be 2 to 5 degrees Celsius lower than average, with slightly strong winds continuing the cold weather.

The morning low on the 22nd is forecast to range from 3 to 14 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 14 and 23 degrees Celsius. Frost is expected in some parts of the central inland and high mountain areas in the southern regions, while temperatures in some parts of northern Gyeonggi inland, northern Gangwon inland, and Gangwon mountain areas will drop below freezing, resulting in ice formation in some locations.

The temperature difference between day and night will be significant, around 15 degrees Celsius, especially in western regions, so extra care should be taken for your health.

The minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are as follows: Seoul, 6 and 18 degrees; Incheon, 6 and 17 degrees; Daejeon, 6 and 19 degrees; Gwangju, 8 and 21 degrees; Daegu, 11 and 19 degrees; Ulsan, 13 and 19 degrees; and Busan, 14 and 22 degrees Celsius.

This early cold spell is expected to ease on the 23rd as surface winds shift from northerly to easterly and the previously introduced cold air moves out.

Gangwon Yeongdong, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy, while other regions will see intermittent cloudiness. There will be occasional rain in Gangwon Yeongdong, the east coast of North Gyeongsang, northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang, eastern Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jeju Island.

Expected precipitation from the 21st to the 22nd is 20 to 60 millimeters in Gangwon Yeongdong, 5 to 40 millimeters in the east coast of North Gyeongsang and northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang, 5 to 20 millimeters in Busan and Ulsan, and around 5 millimeters in eastern inland Gyeongsangnam-do, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.

Wave heights are forecast to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.

In offshore waters (up to about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
