The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will operate the "National Participation Support Relay Week" until October 25, wishing for the successful hosting of the "2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit."
At this APEC Summit, which will bring together more than 20,000 people from around the world-including leaders and delegations from 21 member economies, businesspeople, and journalists-the focus will be on strengthening trade and investment cooperation among member states, as well as creating sustainable growth and prosperity that leads the era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI). In support of the successful hosting of the APEC Summit, about 30 well-known figures from various fields such as broadcasting, entertainment, and sports are joining their voices. In addition, around 20 people-including event organizers, local merchants, and visitors-will also participate in the support relay, adding their encouragement for the summit's success.
The support relay will be based on a promotional video introducing the APEC Summit, released on October 17 to enhance public understanding. It will consist of six videos in total: four featuring celebrities and two featuring ordinary citizens.
Furthermore, the Ministry will hold a public participation support comment event in connection with the APEC promotional video (released on October 17) and the first support video (released on October 20) until November 1. Detailed information on how to participate can be found on the Korean government's official social media channels.
Lee Jungeun, Director of Digital Communication at the Ministry, stated, "With only 10 days left until the APEC Summit, a nationally significant event, this is a crucial time for public interest and support," adding, "We hope many citizens will participate in cheering for the successful hosting of APEC."
