At the meeting, Mayor Park stated, "Care should not be handled by a single department alone. All city departments, related agencies, and the entire local community must work together. We will identify and closely link local resources to provide comprehensive services in various areas, including welfare, health, medical care, housing, and the social economy."
Mayor Park particularly emphasized, "We will expand support to enable local entities such as social economy enterprises and cooperatives to participate in care services by utilizing the foundation of local community assetization that the city has built up over the years."
The meeting was attended by heads of departments related to the integrated care project, including the Welfare Policy Division, Health Policy Division, Senior Welfare Division, Disability Welfare Division, Social Economy Division, and Urban Agriculture Division. They reported on the current care-related projects being promoted, plans for integrated support linkage, and each department's roles and collaboration strategies.
Mayor Park requested, "Please conduct a comprehensive review so that individual projects can be organically connected, and establish an integrated care system without blind spots by ensuring that care is established as a model of the social economy."
The city plans to further advance the integrated support system based on local resources and gradually expand the Gwangmyeong-type integrated care model until the main project is launched in line with the enforcement of the Integrated Care Support Act in March next year.
