A Variety of Activities Await,
from Drone Experiences to Bracelet Making
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will hold the 18th Jeongeup Lifelong Learning Festival on October 25 and 26 at the Jeongeupsa Cultural Park area.
According to the city on October 21, this year’s festival will feature a variety of stage performances and a wealth of hands-on programs that the whole family can enjoy together.
Since being designated a lifelong learning city in 2006, this annual festival has served as a meaningful occasion for citizens-active in lifelong learning clubs, related organizations, and groups-to become the main participants and share the results of their learning.
The event will kick off with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. on October 25, followed by a diverse lineup of stage presentations, including beautiful performances by 15 teams such as the Ocarina Nokdu ensemble and dance groups.
During the two-day festival, 27 teams-including the Mujigae Club-will welcome visitors at the promotional and experience booths. The booths will offer a wide range of programs for all ages, such as flower basket making, Yugaekju brewing, crafting air fresheners and keyrings, writing family mottos, making natural cosmetics, tasting traditional liquor and coffee, food and drone experiences, and making pouches and bracelets. In particular, a cultural experience where visitors can try on traditional clothing from around the world will provide a unique source of enjoyment.
Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "We will do our utmost to prepare so that many citizens can participate in this festival, which showcases the achievements of learning, and enjoy a variety of experiences."
