Recently, there has been a growing trend among young working investors to secure additional cash flow beyond their regular salaries. The concept of a "self-made salary increase" is establishing itself as a new investment trend, leading to heightened interest in ETFs that offer high dividend payouts.
On October 21, Samsung Asset Management announced the launch of a new mobile version of PortRabbit, a monthly dividend portfolio service available on their ETF and fund platform, FunETF.
PortRabbit is a portmanteau of "portfolio" and "rabbit," signifying the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to market changes in order to maximize investor returns. Any FunETF member can use this service to create a personalized monthly dividend portfolio based on their investment objectives and dividend preferences, and manage factors such as returns and dividend yields.
Depending on the investor's monthly dividend goals, users can create portfolios tailored to their preferences, such as "Monthly Dividend Holic" for those seeking high monthly dividends, "Twice a Month Dividend" for those who want dividends twice a month, and "Smart Tax-Saving Investment" for those interested in tax-exempt capital gains products. The "Create Your Own Monthly Dividend" feature allows users to easily check, through a portfolio, how much and which ETFs to invest in to receive their desired monthly dividend amount-such as 1 million, 3 million, or 5 million won-and monitor their monthly cash flow.
Following the launch of its monthly dividend ETF portfolio service, PortRabbit is also planning to introduce two new features by the end of next month: "Money Growing," which creates a customized ETF portfolio based on the customer's age and investment type, and a "Tax-Exempt Gift Plan" feature.
To celebrate the launch of the PortRabbit mobile service, Samsung Asset Management is holding a "Share Your Own Monthly Dividend" event. Until November 30, users who create their own portfolio through PortRabbit on the FunETF app and share a screenshot of it on social media will be eligible to participate. The first 10,000 members to join the event will receive a Daiso 5,000 won gift voucher on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Samsung Asset Management representative stated, "PortRabbit will provide guidance for office workers who were unsure about which ETFs to invest in to receive monthly dividends, and will serve as a new service that enables the 'self-made salary increase' effect." The representative added, "We will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of the FunETF platform and develop asset management services utilizing ETFs and funds."
