Jinju City Participates in 'Seoul ADEX 2025' International Aerospace and Defense Industry Exhibition

Three Local Companies Including ANH Participate,
Engage in Export Consultations

Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province actively participated in the 'Seoul ADEX 2025 (Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Industry Exhibition 2025)', which is being held at Seoul Airport and KINTEX from October 17 to 24, aiming to expand export channels for local space and aerospace companies and to promote the space and aerospace industry.


'Seoul ADEX 2025' is the largest aerospace and defense industry exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Korea Aerospace Industries Association and the Korea Defense Industry Association, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, among others.

At this exhibition, Jinju City is operating the 'Gyeongnam Integrated Pavilion' booth together with Gyeongsangnam-do Province, Changwon City, and Sacheon City. In particular, Jinju-based companies such as ANH Structure, Barotech Synergy, and Matis are participating to showcase their technologies and products, aiming to expand export and cooperation opportunities through consultations with overseas buyers and related organizations. In addition, Jinju City is actively promoting its space industry by exhibiting the ultra-small satellite 'JinjuSat-1B', which was successfully launched for the first time by a local government in Korea, at the Gyeongnam Integrated Pavilion booth.


On October 20, Jinju Mayor Cho Kyu-il attended the opening ceremony, visited the corporate exhibition halls in person to encourage Jinju-based companies and affiliated organizations, and actively communicated on-site by discussing the development direction and mutual cooperation plans for the space and aerospace industry with stakeholders, seeking ways to advance together with companies and institutions.


Mayor Cho stated, "Through our participation in Seoul ADEX 2025, we plan to promote Jinju City's space and aerospace industry initiatives and actively support local companies in entering the global market. Going forward, Jinju will do its utmost to support companies and build the industrial infrastructure necessary to become a leading city in the space and aerospace industry."


Meanwhile, Jinju City is steadily building the foundation to become a leading city in the space and aerospace industry. In March, Jinju successfully launched the ultra-small satellite 'JinjuSat-1B' for the first time among local governments nationwide, and the follow-up model, 'JinjuSat-2', is under development with a target launch in 2027. The KAI Rotary Wing Flight Center has been in full operation since 2024, and the 'Future Aircraft (AAV) Demonstration Center' is scheduled for completion in the first half of next year. In addition, Jinju City is accelerating efforts to open a space environment testing facility for space industry R&D and corporate support by 2028.
