Autumn Travel Courses and Convenient Transportation Programs
A Healing Journey
Uljin, bathed in golden autumn light.
Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province is inviting tourists to a "Fall Journey of Memories," offering special travel courses and transportation programs that capture the deepening atmosphere of the season.
Especially in this perfect season for walking, every step you take in Uljin’s autumn brings a sense of healing.
Three walking courses are drawing significant attention as must-visit autumn trails: the mystical Geumgang Pine Forest Trail, which is not open to everyone; the Wangpicheon Botdorang Trail, where you can walk along agricultural waterways; and the newly created Pyeonghae Luxury Barefoot Walking Trail near Wolsongjeong.
After hiking Mount Eungbongsan, visitors can unwind at Deokgu Hot Springs, and after exploring Mount Baekamsan and the Sinsun Valley, they can relieve their fatigue at Baekam Hot Springs, creating the perfect autumn healing course.
For those seeking a space that fits the season of reading, the newly established "Jigwan Library" inside the Geumgang Pine Eco-Rium is a new landmark in Uljin where you can pause and relax with a book. Stopping by after a walk through the Geumgang Pine Forest Trail completes the ideal itinerary.
If you are traveling with children this autumn, be sure to visit Wangpicheon Park.
The Wangpicheon Cable Car, Aquarium, Insect Experience Center, and Safety Experience Center offer a variety of experiences for children. The park’s expansive green lawns and pine forests make it the perfect place for families with children to fully enjoy the autumn season.
To make it easy for tourists to move between these attractions, Uljin County operates a tourism transportation support program, with the most popular option being the tourism taxi service that began in March. Since the start of autumn, all 27 tourism taxis have been fully booked each day, allowing small groups of tourists, such as families and friends, to quickly tour various sites.
For groups of 25 or more, the "Autumn Travel Bus Support Program" is available, making trips to Uljin even more convenient and enjoyable for those traveling together.
The tourism taxi can be used for 32,000 won per car for four hours, while the autumn travel bus is available for six hours at 5,000 won per adult and 2,000 won per child or teenager, allowing visitors to enjoy Uljin’s attractive tourist destinations.
Uljin County operates the reservation centers for both the tourism taxi and autumn travel bus year-round, without any holidays, to ensure convenience for all visitors.
The autumn journey does not end with just a visit-there is also an event that returns 10% of your travel expenses as Uljin local specialty products, providing a lasting sense of delight.
Those wishing to participate can apply in advance via the county office website or by phone to receive a tourist map and information leaflet.
County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "I hope many people will find healing and create memories in Uljin’s beautiful nature," adding, "This autumn, we have prepared a variety of travel courses, convenient transportation, and special events, so I hope you experience the true joy of travel."
