Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that it has begun full-scale preparations for the "2025 Korea National Fragrance Festival," which opens on the 24th.

This year marks the 22nd edition of the Korea National Fragrance Festival, which will be held at Hampyeong Expo Park under the theme "Magical Fragrance Land." The festival is set to be filled with the vibrant scent of chrysanthemums and enchanting, magical spaces.

The highlights of this year's festival are new large-scale installations such as a carousel, spinning cup ride, and Ferris wheel. The carousel photo zone, which visitors can actually ride, and the spinning cup photo zone, where guests can step inside to take photos, are expected to become popular new spots for memorable photos.

Additionally, a new "Premium Bonsai Exhibition Hall" will be established inside the Butterfly Ecology Center this year, and a "Fragrance Festival History Hall" will also be set up to showcase a photo exhibition that captures the journey of the festival from its first to its 21st edition at a glance. Through these additions, the festival aims to reflect on the tradition and development of the Hampyeong Fragrance Festival, further enhancing the artistry of chrysanthemums and the brand value of Hampyeong chrysanthemums.

Governor Lee Sangik stated, "This year's Korea National Fragrance Festival is a celebration that encompasses chrysanthemums, art, and history," adding, "We will do our utmost to prepare the festival so that visitors can experience the wonder and create lasting memories as if they have entered a magical land."

Meanwhile, having established itself as Jeollanam-do's premier autumn festival, the Korea National Fragrance Festival further cemented its nationwide reputation last year by being selected as Jeollanam-do's representative festival and winning the top prize for festival content.
