Capable of Producing Jams and Fruit and Vegetable Juices
The Namwon Agricultural Technology Center in North Jeolla Province will begin full-scale operation of its Agricultural Product Processing Education Center to support local farmers who wish to start businesses processing agricultural products.
According to the center on October 20, the operation will focus on actively providing information about how to use the facilities and equipment, as well as the reservation procedures, so that more people can take advantage of the center.
The Agricultural Product Processing Education Center is equipped to produce jams and fruit and vegetable juices. A total of 1.4 billion won was invested in the building's remodeling, as well as the installation of state-of-the-art sanitary facilities and processing equipment, through the facility modernization project carried out from 2023 to 2024.
The center aims to process agricultural products produced in the region and provide education, with the goals of producing competitive processed foods, increasing the added value of agricultural products, and creating additional income for farmers.
With the full-scale operation of the Agricultural Product Processing Education Center, local agricultural products are expected to be reborn as high value-added processed goods, greatly contributing not only to increasing farmers' income but also to revitalizing entrepreneurship.
An official from the Namwon Agricultural Technology Center stated, "The Agricultural Product Processing Education Center is more than just a simple processing facility; it is a space where anyone can learn about entrepreneurship and processing technology. We will continue to expand various educational programs and support to actively lead the development of the local agricultural product processing industry."
