Singer Kim Heungguk, who has attended conservative rallies such as those opposing the arrest of former President Yoon Suk-yeol and has made public political statements, has announced his intention to return to the entertainment industry. He stated, "Now, I will stand by the people through music and variety shows," expressing his desire to return to his roots.

On October 20, through his agency Daebak Planning, Kim Heungguk said, "I will put aside political talk and focus on smiling and singing on stage," adding, "Politics was not my path. I am happiest when I make people laugh and sing together. That is the real Kim Heungguk."


Regarding this decision, Kim Heungguk expressed his determination to return to his original intentions as a singer, saying, "I want to sing on stage again. I will sincerely connect with the public not through politics, but through entertainment and music."


Kim Heungguk is currently preparing a new song. He plans to release a new music project by the end of this year, combining the lively energy of his signature song "Horangi Nabi" with a modern sensibility.


He said, "Singing on stage and smiling in front of the camera is my life. Now, I want to laugh together with the public online as well," announcing plans to run his own YouTube channel. Through this channel, he intends to share his daily life, behind-the-scenes stories from the stage, and entertaining content, continuing sincere communication with the public.


Kim Heungguk said, "If I can once again bring laughter and hope to the people, that will be the beginning of the second chapter of my life," adding, "I want to become the nation's 'Horangi Nabi' once again."


Kim Heungguk has openly expressed his conservative political views and has participated in related activities. He publicly supported former President Yoon and attended conservative rallies where he made political statements. During the last presidential election, he assisted with Yoon's campaign, and when the Constitutional Court decided to impeach Yoon, he commented, "This is unthinkable." He also joined the campaign team of Na Kyung-won, a presidential primary candidate from the People Power Party, further engaging in political activities.
