Eligible applicants include residents who have maintained their address in Hwasun for at least three consecutive months as of the application date, as well as corporations with business sites located within Hwasun County. Support is available only if the electric vehicle owner (including those eligible for electric vehicle subsidies in 2025) has secured a site at their residence or business location to install a charger.

The project will support a total of 20 units, with subsidies of up to 1.3 million KRW per charger depending on the type. The number of supported units may change depending on the subsidy amount.

Applicants must sign a direct contract with the charger manufacturer or distributor, after which the distributor must submit the required documents, including the subsidy application form, to the designated Hwasun County official by email. Information on charger models and manufacturers or distributors can be found on the Ministry of Environment’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Integration Portal.

Applications will be accepted from October 27 to 31, after which additional applicants will be selected on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis. Priority for selection will be given in the following order: vulnerable groups (persons with disabilities, those in lower income brackets), persons of merit such as veterans and independence patriots, residents of rural areas with insufficient charging infrastructure, and those who have resided in Hwasun County for a long period without interruption. Details on how to apply and the support process can be found in the notices and announcements section of the county office website. For further information, please contact the Environmental Division.

No Samsuk, head of the Environmental Division, stated, "We plan to gradually expand the electric vehicle charging infrastructure to achieve carbon neutrality," and requested, "We ask for the interest and cooperation of our residents."
