User Base Doubles in Three Years
Sharp Surge in Transactions Across Key Categories Such as Flights, Accommodations, and Activities
MyRealTrip announced on the 20th that it has surpassed a cumulative total of 10 million registered users.
Launched in 2012 as a guided tour brokerage service, MyRealTrip has expanded its business areas to include flights, accommodations, rental cars, and activities, growing into a one-stop platform that covers the entire travel process. Currently, the company offers customers a wide range of choices and differentiated experiences through approximately 1.5 million travel products.
After reaching 5 million cumulative registered users in 2022, MyRealTrip surpassed 10 million users in just three years and simultaneously achieved 5 million monthly active users (MAU). Notably, over the past two years, its monthly transaction volume has steadily increased, with the airline segment growing by approximately 80%, and the tour, activity, and accommodation segments each growing by over 100% and 200%, respectively, demonstrating a clear upward trend across major categories. In addition, after turning a profit last year, the company recorded a monthly transaction volume of 217.1 billion won in July this year and achieved a cumulative transaction volume of 1.5 trillion won from January to August.
MyRealTrip is accelerating its inbound services, leveraging the global popularity of K-trends. Last year, the company made a strategic investment in 'Creatrip,' the largest inbound platform in Korea, and plans to continue its global growth by providing foreign tourists visiting Korea with tailored products and a convenient booking environment.
Lee Donggeon, CEO of MyRealTrip, stated, "This achievement is a meaningful result of customers trusting and choosing MyRealTrip," and added, "We will continue to enhance customer satisfaction by providing a 'complete travel experience' and offering even more innovative and convenient services that take full responsibility for our customers' journeys."
