Eunpyeong-gu to Hold "Family Forest Festival for Young Children" on the 25th

On October 25, Eunpyeong-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mikyung) will hold the 12th Family Forest Festival for Young Children at the Seorung Forest Experience Center for Kids.

The Forest Experience Center for Kids is a forest playground exclusively for young children, where the forest serves as a classroom and various hands-on activities are conducted using natural materials. This festival has been organized as a special opportunity for children and their families to enjoy nature together and heal both body and mind.

Under the theme "Let's Play in the Forest Garden for a Healthy Body and Mind!", the event will feature a variety of programs centered around the forest and garden, including "Stones Traveling Through the Forest Garden," "Acorn Is My Friend," "Let's Play, Spider," "Eco Bag Embracing Nature," and "Woodworking Experience."

In addition, there will be side events for the whole family to enjoy, such as a welcome tea service, a magic bubble show, an animal model photo zone, and a rubber shoe family flowerpot-making activity. Physical activity programs like dodgeball will also be offered, giving children the chance to run and play freely while interacting with others.

The festival is open to 200 families with young children, and advance registration is available through the Seoul Public Service Reservation website. There will also be a post-event review event for participating families: those who post their festival experiences on social networking services (SNS) and verify their posts will be entered into a drawing to receive mobile coupons for coffee and more.

Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, "The Family Forest Festival for Young Children is a warm place of learning and play that fosters love and bonds within families," adding, "We will continue to provide ongoing support so that children can grow up healthy in nature."
