KIA Tigers' Park Chanho Files Complaint Against Malicious Online Commenters

It was belatedly revealed that Park Chanho (30), the shortstop for the KIA Tigers professional baseball team, filed a police complaint against internet users who posted malicious comments targeting him and his family.

According to the Gwangju Bukbu Police Station on the 19th, Park submitted a complaint in August, accusing several social media posts of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).


It was reported that the social media gallery in question frequently featured insulting posts not only targeting Park himself but also his family.


After a two-month investigation, the police identified five individuals and transferred the case to police stations in the regions where they reside. An official from the Bukbu Police Station stated, "We have identified the users of the IDs who posted the defamatory comments," and added, "There are currently no ongoing cases at the Bukbu Police Station."
