"Sharing the Value of Community" ... 19th Samwonin Cultural Festival Held

A Symbolic Event for Preserving Local Culture and Fostering Community Unity

Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province successfully concluded the 19th Samwonin Cultural Festival held at Yongji Culture Park in Changwon, reaffirming the significance of tradition and unity within the local community.

"Sharing the Value of Community" ... 19th Samwonin Cultural Festival Held Jung Yangsook, Director of the Culture, Tourism, and Sports Bureau, is giving a greeting at the Samwonin cultural event.

The Samwonin Cultural Festival has established itself as a representative local cultural event, where Samwonin residents and other community members come together to experience traditional culture and share the value of community.


The event, held on October 18, featured a variety of programs including traditional folk games, the Samwon Song Festival, and an exhibition of woodcarving works, providing families with special memories. With around 500 participants, the festival was vibrant from start to finish, reflecting the enthusiastic interest of the local community.


This year’s Samwonin Cultural Festival was recognized for its expanded scale and enriched content. Lee Nyeonjae, Chairman of the Samwon Association, which hosted the event, stated, “We will continue our efforts to preserve and promote local culture,” and called for ongoing participation and interest.


Jung Yangsook, Director of the Culture, Tourism, and Sports Bureau, said, “The Samwon Association is at the heart of unity and growth in our local community. I hope it will continue to serve as a strong pillar for Changwon in the future.”
