The "Station C Alliance Formation Ceremony," held on the 17th during the "3rd Chuncheon Station C Startup Expo," was organized to systematically support aspiring startup teams and early-stage startups by connecting and sharing previously scattered entrepreneurial resources within the region.
The Station C Alliance is a cooperative network formed to build a sustainable regional innovation startup ecosystem, with participation from local universities such as Hallym University, startup incubators, private companies, and investment firms, all centered in Chuncheon. Its goal is to connect and share entrepreneurial resources dispersed throughout the region and to systematically support everyone from aspiring founders to early-stage startups.
Until now, universities, local governments, and private companies in Chuncheon have operated individual startup support programs, but the dispersed resources have limited the potential for synergy. The Station C Alliance seeks to overcome these limitations by establishing a system for mutual access and joint utilization of core resources, including education, mentoring, space, equipment, and investment.
The alliance has formed the "Station C Steering Committee," which will operate as a consultative body on a quarterly basis. It will systematically manage programs through a shared calendar for education, mentoring, IR, and investment matching. The principle of mutual access to experimental spaces, equipment, and data will also be applied to enhance accessibility for startup teams.
As a key member of the Station C Alliance, Hallym University will actively open up its human and physical resources. First, it will operate the "Hallym-Station C Acceleration Track," which links its entrepreneurship education curriculum and major tracks, providing practical training to students and local aspiring entrepreneurs. A mentoring group composed of faculty, alumni entrepreneurs, and professional mentors will offer advanced mentoring and technical commercialization consulting.
In particular, Hallym University will leverage its research-oriented hospital and bio-cluster network to provide specialized support for startups in the healthcare and digital sectors. By connecting the university's research capabilities and clinical networks, it will assist technology-based startup teams with prototype development and market validation (POC). In addition, the university plans to sequentially open on-campus startup spaces and experimental infrastructure to support the advancement of team prototypes.

Choi Yanghee, president of Hallym University, stated, "The Station C Alliance is more than a vehicle for short-term outcomes; it is a collaborative engine that operates year-round. We will work with Chuncheon City to connect the university's talent, research, clinical, and corporate networks so that they can lead to tangible sales and investment for local startups."
To achieve meaningful results, the Station C Alliance will set joint KPIs and manage key indicators such as the number of alliance program participants, corporate establishment and job creation, follow-on investment attraction, and the number of POC projects. The alliance will build a team-mentor-company-investor matching database to operate a continuous matching system and plans to institutionalize a joint demo day every six months to expand opportunities for investment attraction.
