Official Launch of Integrated Version for Domestic and Foreign Customers
Upgraded Features Including Gift Recommendations

On October 19, Hyundai Department Store announced that it will now offer its artificial intelligence (AI) shopping assistant "HEYDI," which proposes personalized offline shopping experiences, to domestic customers as well. This comes three months after it was first launched exclusively for foreign customers in July.

The integrated version of HEYDI for both domestic and foreign customers is available at Hyundai Department Store and Hyundai Outlet locations nationwide, as well as on the official website and mobile app. Customers can access HEYDI by scanning the QR code displayed at offline stores or by clicking the HEYDI menu on the website or app.

After selecting the store they wish to visit, customers can converse with HEYDI about their desired shopping experience and plan their shopping route accordingly.

In practice, when HEYDI was operated for foreign customers, the average monthly usage reached 9,000 cases, with approximately 2.5% of all foreign purchasing customers using the service. In particular, inquiries about gifts, pop-ups, and restaurants were most common. There was also a notable number of questions requesting overall course planning, such as "How to enjoy more leisurely" and "How to make the most of your visit."

With the integrated version of HEYDI, customers can immediately place orders on The Hyundai.com by clicking the gift-shaped icon displayed next to the brands recommended by HEYDI.

A Hyundai Department Store representative stated, "HEYDI is the first case in the department store industry to apply AI technology, which is typically used for product search and recommendations in online shopping malls, to offline shopping spaces. It will offer a new alternative for customers seeking a personalized retail experience."
