In his congratulatory address, Mayor Shin stated, "Companion animals have become more than just pets; they are now family members and precious partners in our lives," adding, "Seongnam City is implementing a variety of policies to create a city where citizens and companion animals can be happy together."
Mayor Shin highlighted Seongnam City's major achievements in companion animal policy, including the establishment of a companion animal camping site within Yuldong Park's auto camping area, the opening of a municipal animal hospital to improve medical accessibility, and the expansion of communication spaces through the operation of dedicated playgrounds for companion animals.
He went on to say, "We will continue to do our utmost to make Seongnam a mature city of companion animal culture, where citizens and their companion animals can enjoy a happy daily life together."
