Gapyeong County Launches Stay-Type Tourism Program "The Seasons"
Up to 80,000 Won Per Night in Support
Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province announced on October 17 that it will launch "The Seasons" event, which provides accommodation and experience fee support for stay-type tourists, in order to revitalize local tourism during the autumn and winter seasons.
"The Seasons" is Gapyeong County's signature stay-type tourism program, and this year marks its third installment following the spring and summer seasons.
This edition, titled "The Seasons: Fall to Winter Gapyeong," is an interactive program in which participants design their own autumn and winter travel itineraries in Gapyeong and share their experiences as online content via social networking services (SNS) and other platforms.
Eligible participants are individuals or teams of up to four people who reside outside Gapyeong County. They can join by submitting a pre-travel plan and obtaining a digital tourism resident card.
The county will reimburse participants for accommodation costs (up to three nights, 30,000 to 70,000 won per night) and experience fees (10,000 won per day, up to three days). In return, participants are required to post at least one promotional post about Gapyeong tourism per day on SNS during their trip.
This season, in particular, is expected to directly boost local consumption and tourism by focusing on accommodations and experience facilities affiliated with the digital tourism resident card program.
"The Seasons: Fall to Winter Gapyeong" has been accepting pre-applications since October 15, and participants can travel on their own schedule between October 24 and December 7. Detailed information and application instructions are available on the Gapyeong County Office website or through the Tourism Division of Gapyeong County Office.
