"Sharing Key Safety Management Plans by Construction Type"
The starting point for everything at Busan Port is "safety."
On October 17, Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sanggeun) announced that it held a safety seminar for the commencement stage of the "2025 Busan Port Architectural Facilities Maintenance and Repair Project" in the conference room on the 5th floor of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal.
This seminar was organized to identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments from the early stages of the project, as well as to share work plans for each type of construction in advance, with the goal of preventing on-site safety accidents.
Busan Port Authority is conducting a safety seminar at the commencement stage of the maintenance and repair work for architectural facilities at Busan Port.
Fifteen participants, including Busan Port Authority construction managers, construction project management engineers, and site representatives, attended the seminar. They inspected key risk factors such as falls, entrapment, collisions, and being caught in machinery, and jointly reviewed the results of the risk assessments.
During the seminar, Busan Port Authority emphasized the thorough implementation of the construction site safety management manual and procedures. The authority also introduced systems to create a safer working environment, such as the work suspension system, Sunday off policy, and guidelines for responding to safety accidents.
Ryu Hyunjun, Head of Infrastructure Management, stated, "By inspecting safety hazards together with on-site personnel from the beginning of construction, we expect to achieve more efficient and safer site management. We will maintain close communication with the field to create a work environment where safety is the top priority."
