Cheongsong County Youth Festival ‘GoHam’
A Place for Youth to Experience Science, Culture, and the Arts Together
Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province successfully held the Cheongsong County Youth Festival ‘GoHam (Thank You! For Being With Us)’ at the Cheongsong Ajit outdoor stage on October 16.
This event was organized as the second program of the ‘2025 Youth Autumn Culture Festival Week’ and the ‘Cheongsong County Youth Autumn Festa,’ providing local youth with an opportunity to fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere through science, culture, and the arts.
The first part of the festival, themed ‘Youth Geo Festival,’ featured geology science experience booths using rocks and fossils, as well as the ‘Science Quiz Challenge! Golden Bell.’ Through hands-on experiences where they could see and touch for themselves, the youth deepened their interest in geology and science.
The second part featured the ‘Cheongsong Ajit Autumn Busking,’ where families and friends prepared and performed together on stage. These performances, created with loved ones, delivered a warm sense of emotion to the audience, and the excitement of the festival was further heightened by a special performance from the invited singer Siren.
The Youth Festival ‘GoHam’ began in 2018 as a policy proposed by the Cheongsong County Youth Participation Organization. It has been held annually to foster a youth culture where no one is left out and to encourage self-directed youth activities by allowing young people to participate in various artistic activities.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, “I hope this event provided a chance for our youth to nurture both scientific curiosity and cultural sensibility,” adding, “We will continue to prepare even richer youth festivals to support the dreams and passion of our young people.”
