According to the Korea Organ Donation Agency, Baek Sehee, the author of the bestseller "I Want to Die But I Want to Eat Tteokbokki," became a star in the sky on October 16 after saving the lives of five people by donating her heart, lungs, liver, and both kidneys through brain death organ donation.

Baek Sehee's essay "I Want to Die But I Want to Eat Tteokbokki" received widespread acclaim for its candid account of her experiences after being diagnosed with dysthymia and consulting with her psychiatrist. Dysthymia is a chronic depressive disorder that precedes major depression, characterized by persistent feelings of sadness for at least two years in daily life, though its symptoms are milder than those of major depression.

Afterward, Baek Sehee published other books in collaboration with fellow writers, such as "I Don't Think Anyone Will Love You as Much as I Do" and "I Want to Write, I Don't Want to Write," and continued to connect with readers through talk concerts and lectures.

After graduating from university with a degree in creative writing, she worked at a publishing company for five years. During this period, she began receiving treatment at counseling centers and psychiatric clinics to overcome her personal wounds and pain.

Her younger sibling said, "My sister wanted to write, to share her heart with others through her writing, and to nurture dreams of hope. Knowing her kind heart, which could never hate anyone, I hope she can now rest peacefully in the sky."
