On October 17, KB Securities predicted that LN Energy & Future (L&F) would benefit from the growing importance of energy storage systems (ESS) as a key component of power infrastructure.
Lee Changmin, a researcher at KB Securities, stated, "We expect ESS demand to surge, particularly in North America," adding, "L&F is anticipated to benefit the most from this trend."
He further explained, "The Chinese government's announcement of a battery export permit system will also serve as a positive factor," and added, "Last year, Chinese companies accounted for 87% of the U.S. ESS battery market." He emphasized, "Considering both the continuously rising U.S. tariffs on Chinese products and the business uncertainty caused by the implementation of the export permit system, demand for non-Chinese ESS suppliers in the market is expected to expand rapidly."
Lee also noted, "L&F has already signed MOUs related to LFP for ESS with two customers," and analyzed, "The company has the highest visibility for securing additional orders." He explained, "Aside from L&F, there are no other companies preparing for mass production of non-Chinese LFP batteries, so we expect L&F to enjoy exclusive benefits."
