The Damyang County Cultural Foundation (Chairman: Jeong Cheolwon, hereafter referred to as the Foundation) announced on October 16 that it will hold the participatory cultural arts education festival, '2025 Damyang Bamboo Hideout Festival: Bamboo Play X Complete Conquest,' over two days from November 1 to 2 in the Metasequoia Land area.

The festival, which received an enthusiastic response last year, is returning this year with even more open and enriched content, aiming to offer a special experience to both local residents and tourists.

This year's festival goes beyond the previous collaborative creation programs, aspiring to become an 'open cultural playground' featuring a variety of hands-on bamboo experiences, games, and art. During the festival, a wide range of programs will be available for people of all ages to enjoy.

Main programs include activities such as rolling large bamboo tubes and horseback riding at the Bamboo Playground. In addition, the Bamboo Workshop will offer opportunities to craft practical bamboo items, ranging from basic models to premium experiences where local bamboo craft masters share their expertise.

There will also be mission-based programs such as the Bamboo Challenge (ball relay, rope running, etc.) and Bamboo Shooters (archery competition), where families can participate together and learn the values of challenge and cooperation, adding to the festival's enjoyment.

Participation in the festival is open and available on-site; however, families who register in advance will receive special benefits. Those who complete pre-registration will be given commemorative gifts and perks such as free admission tickets to Damyang Metasequoia Land, picnic mats for outdoor activities, and priority access to the Bamboo Challenge. Pre-registration is available via QR code from October 17 to 29 until 5 p.m., and further details can be found in the 'Project Announcements' section on the Foundation's website.

A Foundation representative stated, "Through the Damyang Bamboo Hideout Festival, we hope to rediscover the value of bamboo and establish this event as a cultural venue where both local residents and tourists can come together. We will continue to develop it as a sustainable cultural content in the future."
