NBS Public Opinion Survey
President Lee Jaemyung's Administration Receives 56% Positive Evaluation
66% Question the Neutrality of the Special Prosecutor

Following the June 3 presidential election, support for the Democratic Party of Korea has fallen below 40% for the first time. President Lee Jaemyung’s approval rating for his administration remained at a similar level as before, according to post-Chuseok surveys.

On October 16, the National Barometer Survey (NBS)-conducted by Embrain Public, Kstat Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research between October 13 and 15 with 1,000 men and women aged 18 or older nationwide via mobile phone interviews (margin of error ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, response rate 15.8%)-found that support for the Democratic Party stood at 39%, down 2 percentage points from the first week of October. Since winning the last presidential election, the Democratic Party had maintained support in the low to mid-40% range, but this is the first time it has dropped below 40% following the recent Chuseok holiday.
