On October 16, Samjong KPMG announced, "We will hold an 'Overseas Investment Expansion Seminar' for domestic companies at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 27th."
This seminar will focus on the business environments, investment incentives, tax changes, and key considerations in nine countries: the United States, Mexico, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic. It is designed to help companies establish strategies regarding tax issues for overseas assignees and integrated tax management for foreign subsidiaries.
The United States session will examine trends in the Trump tariffs and tax reforms (OBBBA), strategies for Korean companies to respond, and the impact on site selection and incentives. The global mobility service session will introduce tax issues that companies must consider when dispatching employees overseas.
The Mexico session will explain the direction of next year's tax reforms and changes in the business environment, while the India session will comprehensively address the investment environment, incentives, accounting and tax considerations, and the initial public offering (IPO) system.
The Vietnam session will review an overview of investment in Vietnam and key considerations for local entry. The Malaysia session will share updates on the establishment of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and trends in tax incentives.
The Singapore session will introduce the latest tax incentive trends and the listing of REITs through the Singapore Exchange (SGX), exploring ways to utilize the capital market. The Germany session will highlight regulatory changes in Germany and the European Union (EU) and major investment opportunities, focusing on promising investment prospects in strategic sectors such as defense, data centers, electric vehicle batteries, semiconductors, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. Customized support programs for Korean companies will also be introduced.
The United Kingdom session will provide an overview of the local business environment and investment incentives, as well as the support services offered by Samjong KPMG. Finally, the Czech Republic session will detail the business environment and investment incentive system in the Czech Republic, as well as key tax considerations and the procedures for establishing a corporation.
